For businesses listed on InviteFromMe. Plain words, short.

  1. Listing is free. Payments aren't switched on yet: until they are, nothing is charged and there's no card to add, and what these terms say about the 5%, ad fees and statements is how it works once they start. We'll email you at least 30 days before any fee starts or changes, and you choose whether to stay.
  2. You tell the truth about what you offer, where and at what prices, and keep it up to date.
  3. We review listings before they go live and can pause or remove one that misleads hosts or gets complaints. After that, we may check changes to what you offer, where you are, how far you travel or the party sizes you take.
  4. Offers you show are honored. A host who uses an offer's code — by sending you a request with it, or mentioning it — gets it, on the terms it states.
  5. Hosts contact you if they choose to. You get only the contact details a host chooses to share with you, and we delete our copy 90 days after their party. You never get their guests' details, and you won't ask us for them.
  6. Your account is yours to keep safe: every sign-in uses your email link and a second step. Tell us right away if you think someone else got in.
  7. Introductions. When a host contacts you through InviteFromMe, you get their details and we record the introduction. After their party, tell us whether it became a sale and for how much. You pay 5% (at most $100) only when a host books you with an InviteFromMe voucher. That is 5% of the amount the host confirms, never more than $100 a booking; a sale without a voucher owes nothing. If one is unanswered 21 days after the party, your listing pauses until you answer. "Still in progress" is fine for up to 60 days after the party; after that, tell us sale or no sale. If the host hasn't set a date, we ask 60 days after they contacted you.
  8. Who can take vouchers. A new account can take them once it has been open 30 days. Or buy $50 of ads up front and start vouchers today: it pays your ad fees, and anything else on your statements, until it's used. Once that $50 is all used, vouchers are yours for good. Not working for you? From 90 days after you buy it, ask and we refund what's unspent to your card. If you close your account before then, what's left goes back to the card that paid it: at once if you never took a voucher, otherwise with the rest of what we owe you. If you dispute the ad buy with your bank, you're back to the wait. If the card is on another vendor account, we check before vouchers start.
  9. Voucher sales. When a host pays part of your price with an InviteFromMe voucher, you attach your invoice and the host confirms the amount. Up to 50% of the voucher goes toward the 5% you owe on that booking, never more than the 5% itself; the rest of the voucher becomes ad credits, which pay your ad fees. Ad credits last as long as your account is active; they are never cash, and they end when you close it. For your first 3 months of vouchers you can take at most $250 of them a month, then $500; we may set a different limit for your account. Everything goes on one statement on the 1st of each month, charged to your card.
  10. We can check any voucher sale. We may ask for proof: your invoice or receipt, and how the host paid. Until we're satisfied, that voucher covers nothing and gives no ad credits. If it doesn't check out, we cancel it: the voucher goes back to the host, and nothing is owed on it. We always check a booking where the host and your business look linked (the same email, phone or family name).
  11. Invoices. When you report a sale you can attach your invoice. We read the business, customer, total, date and what was sold to fill in the sale and check it against the introduction. If it's your business's invoice and its total is what you report, you get listing credits: 2% of the sale, at least $1 and at most $20, on voucher sales of $50 or more, always less than the commission on it. We delete the file 90 days after you send it and keep only what we read.
  12. Ads are optional. The top spot on a host's list is an Ad: the best match for their party among vendors who pay for ads (when others who pay are nearly as good, within 10%, they take turns). A list holds one Ad for every 10 vendors on it (at least one): the top spot, then the best-ranked other vendors who pay for ads, each with the Ad label at the place the ranking gives them; any more are shown plain. Being shown as an Ad costs nothing. When a host taps your Ad (opens your card or sends you a request), you pay $2.50 if it was the top spot, or $1 in its place on the list: the first tap per party only, and never more in a month than the limit you set. Your listing credits pay first. Past your limit, or with no limit ($0, the default), you're still shown, plain, and nothing is charged. Ads are shown only for parties whose invitations have gone out. Below the top spot, paying never moves you up or down. Your photos show on your card either way. The monthly limit is at least the fee for one tap in the list; you set it on your Payments page. Paying for ads never decides whether hosts see you.
  13. If a charge doesn't go through, hosts don't see you until it's paid. If you dispute one of our charges with your bank, hosts don't see you until it's settled, and what your bank takes back is owed again on your next statement.
  14. You can close your account any time from your account page, once every introduction whose party has passed is answered. We charge anything you owe on a final statement; less than $0.50 we don't charge. If your $50 ad buy came to more than you owed, we pay it back after a hold: 90 days after your last voucher booking or paid statement, and once we've seen your photo ID and a W-9 tax form. We refund your recent statements to your card first and send any rest directly. Listing credits and ad credits end with the account; they are never paid out. We delete your listing and photos. You can reopen it by signing in again; your listing is reviewed again before hosts see it.
